Fall time artwork

Artwork from this fall, a few from a scrapbook retreat and some from home. It was a slow time, moving sucks and i hope i dont have to do it again for many many years. ;-)

Here is 2 from the workshop on the go!
Sangria

These 3 are from Nancy's scrapbook retreat in Canmore. Love going every year!

Wide open layout for pictures of different sized pictures, just have to mat them and add some jounaling and we are good to go!

Did you noticed the flip flaps? They are one of my favorite ways to add pictures to layouts. Great way to add visual interest to your albums.

I promise in 2016 i will add all my photos to the premade layouts :-) It will be a task!

Cards made easy!

Hi!
If you like me you like to get a bulk of cards done in many sentiments so you can just grab a card and envelope and send it off. I find it easier and time saving.

This fun set of cards, is just that, simple and easy. Over the next few days you will see a few different cards that are a part of this set.

I used a my crush for her book ( you can pick it up on the ctmh link). I made 2 scrapbook layouts with this book also, i will get them posted for you :-)

Just take the books apart and just use them to make wonderful cards, they are super girly and everyone once in a while i am in need of that. This card, i took a base page, cut it down to the same as the card base and i use a sketch to layout the card.

The stamp and embellishments are coordinating with the gold trim..who knew that gold and a taupe grey looks so good together! Right?

Keeping it simple is one of my motto's for 2015. :-)

Soaring...

It is amazing thing to dry emboss cards, they really add a fun touch.
Like this card here, I use a cute little embosser to make this pebble background.

This card's paper pack is Bo Bunny Enchanted garden, and the stamp set is an older retired stamp of the month from CTMH. I used black ink to keep it neutral, tie it all together. :-)

I added little touches of glitter, i used glitter trim cut in half length wise. I used washi tape (that i am not too fond of) to hold the glitter trim on the paper trimmer, sliced though it all and i got 2 very sleek strips of glitter. I use that technique quite often. A fave!

Thanks for stopping by!

Shine On

It's a Monday and to be honest i LOVE them, it is like a new fresh start ever week.
I made a fun random stamped card with a simple sentiment and kept the neutral and bold so the bight colors i used would bring it all together.

It is really simple to random stamp, keep it in triangles (in groups of 3), starting with the largest and work your way down to the smallest to fill the uneven gaps.

I choose a stamp set that had added layers for some fun. All CTMH products used and this card is perfect for many occasions.

Thanks for hanging out! See you tomorrow!!

Another card

Welcome to another card post.
Yesterday was Canada Day and that meant a fun day with the family, hot dogs, lemonade and lego. Before that fun day i was able to enjoy this wonderful paper pack from Bo Bunny called Enchanted Garden. I know that i am late on this band wagon but wow, i am in love with it!

I made a few cards and i am so excited to show to you them this week, I am working on a few other projects with this paper too.

This is very easy card with a few stamps, i use a sponge dauber on the peacock to blend the colors before i stamp it for some depth in the feathers. The stamps, ink and embellishments is from CTMH (Close to my Heart)

Thanks for stopping by! See you tomorrow!!

Card challenge #5

Number 5 up and at em.

This is one of my most favorite stamp sets of ALL time, love love love this stamp and i could use it everywhere!!

Opps, just realized this paper is from the taste of summer paper pack, cool! CTMH makes it so east to mix the old with the new. This is an older stamp called Trees and Things. I used foam tape to pop up the tree top and added some embellishments. Simple card with a punch!

So long until morrow!

Yes i used embellishments!! I have missed you.

I inked the edges ( a lost art?) and layered it with coordinating colors except the pop of blue. I love how it turned out.

Card Challenge!

Hey ya all!!

I have set my self up for a challenge that will allow me to use my older stamps and paper packs i have kept from the last few years. From my favorites to not so favorites i will be showing a card a day for as long as i can :-)

I am sorry to say that this month will be my last month with CTMH for a while, i am deeply involved with photography and it is going quite well. I will still be using 90% CTMH and i will have a link to my mom's shopping site so you can still pick up supplies.

With that being said i am planning on some fun challenges for you all with colors, sketches and scraps. Stay tuned over the summer to see what i am doing around here.

On to the first card of this week!!

If you were around CTMH last month then you would have seen the very awesome paper pack and coordinating stamp set Taste of Summer.

Isn't it awesome! This will cheer up the most grumpy person when you hand them this card!! I use zero embellishments but i did use the stamping to add a touch of fun with the pear colored berries.

Thanks for stopping by and come back tomorrow for another card!

June's HWBH

Welcome to the Hearts of the West team blog hop!

If this is your first time joining us you will love it. It features Close to my hearts Consultants from all over Canada showing you their projects. The hearts of the west team was founded by Nancy Klein.
This months challenge is Seaside paper pack, brought to you by the new Annual Inspirations, hand picked from Nancy Klein.

If you came from Nancy Klein's Blog then you're in the right place, this is a go around blog hop so you can start anywhere! Just in case, the full list will be at the bottom. So, as always, grab your coffee, tea, water, relax, and hop around the team with us.

I was not sure what to do with this paper pack, i really wanted a softer layout and use it a different way then the wonderful sea themed cards and layouts. I always love to use many embellishments and that always gives me a chance to use up some of the older and odd extra embellishments i have stored in my medium organizer.

Using the sponge daubers to make the fun color combo on the older alphabet chip board, is a lot of fun and you can choose any coordinating combos that go with your projects.

I used the exclusive base and bling sticker from last CTMH Making connections event, it fits pretty well :-)

Your next stop is Justine Hovey;s Blog .

Thanks for joining us this month and thank you for stopping by and please feel free to leave a comment or question.

Cool hey? This is a very fun layout i made, there is no pictures because i totally broke my printer. Costco! Here i come!!

I picked this layout from the reflections program book. I also used 2 very different stamps, December's stamp of the month and the Doodle designs stamp set the colors were Canary, Lagoon, Hollyhock, Thistle and my beloved black memento ink ( i use it because it is the only black stamp i found that does not stain my stamps too much). I wanted to show off the background so i kept the colors coordinating and basic.

I highlighted the icing of the cupcakes with the white background gave it a very cool pop-art style. I am also debating if i want to add stick men or something else to the cute pictures frames.

Please contact us if you would like more info on how to make your own project. Starting April 1 2015 you can ask your consultant how to get the brand new Seasonal Expressions 2!

I love this paperpack, it is full of fun colors and pairs nicely with almost any shade in the CTMH Whismy Fundamentals paper pack. The bunches of flowers i cut from Artbooking (Cricut) one at 3 each cut at 11", 7", and 3". I sponged the edges and attached them with a glue pen and attached them to the layout with glue dots. A little bling all around the pages.

The Happy Easter was cut 3 times in different colors and then i just use washi tape to hold it on my paper cutter and cut them cut, then i attach them with a glue pen. They turned out pretty awesome.

2 cut bunnies are added for fun, colored with Copics.

If you would like more info please contact me. Thanks!!

If you came from Janet of Jan's Works of Heart then you are in the right place!

I choose Hopscotch because i needed a little break in the winter. It is February and that means I am now planning my gardens for this summer. Since i am in such a spring mood i picked Hopscotch for my paper pack and i have 2 Program books i used as well as some old a new stamps.

Take a look at the whole set and then i will explain each card.

Group Photo!!

This card is an Hostess exclusive stamp from the Seasonal Inspirations and the pattern came from Originals and the pattern is called Double duty, i left out the top and kept it one color.

I added the middle colonial white to match the stamp. I cut out a circle and use the rock n roll stamping method and attached it with foam tape. I use Glacier, Flaxed and Black Memento Ink. I use copics to color the stamp, just some yellows, red, blue and purple.

CTMH is really known for having super versatile stamps, as soon as i spotted this stamp i thought of a simper card It is from the Seasonal Inspirations (Happy to be friends).

The Hollyhock paper is actually scored vertical every 1/2 inch.
I use Glacier, Flaxed, Hollyhock and Sunset ink. The black is from my trusty Black Memento ink.

To get a coordinating ribbon color, i used a spray pen with Glacier reinker and rubbing alcohol and when it was dry i use a glue dot to attach it to the ribbon and card. The pattern comes from well to be honest. I have no idea. If you can find it. I will send you a present!! Email me at itsahootpapercrafts@gmail.com

Butterflies are a sure sign of spring, I adore the ones from Artbooking and Artist cricut cartridges. Here are some hints for this card. The flower and butterfly are attached with foam tape.

Random stamping is awesome, i use an order stamp set to make the base pattern, and i used the sentiment from Happy to be friends.

I used Sunset, Ponderosa Pine, Champagne, Hollyhock inks and Black Memento ink. The pattern of this card come from Originals program book and the pattern is called Bound Together.

I love how this card turned out and the pattern is super fun... so i made 2 different ones.
This one uses a current stamp set that is usually made for tags or the back of cards. It is called Handmade from the Seasonally Expressions (ends March 31st).

For some added pop, down the middle of the black flag i used a white shimmer trim, the camera sadly does not pick up the sparkle.
This lovely pattern is from the program book Originals and the pattern is called Vertical Three.

I added a chip board hart that was super easy to make. The heart comes from a coordinating cricut cartridge. Simple and easy. Aqua dots are fun and i hope they come out with more colors. FUN!!

Super fun mini photo cards or used as a mini album. It would be great for photobooth pictures or even school pictures. I used the card pattern from program book Originals, the pattern is called Pocket card. The butterflies are embossed in gold and white. I used Ponderosa pine, Pacifica and black Memento ink

I am such a fan of the A sized stamp sets, This one is a quick stamp card. It takes no time at all to color the flowers. The card base is one i thought of when i was cleaning up my scraps from the other cards.
I really do love the gold shimmer trim. Colored with copic. Y13, Y15, Y17 and YG61, YG63, YG67. P.S i do so love how i turned the card slightly in this picture and i believe i will be doing that from now on..lol
