Pathfinding is one of my favorite paper packs of this Idea Book, it has all my favorite colors and i really can find so many projects to make with it. With all the new classes coming up, it was time to come up with this years Thanksgiving place setting. I will post the whole thing on The Autumn Pot after Thanksgiving.

I used the cricut and Artiste for this place setting cards. I cut them out twice, once in Autumn Terracotta and other in White Daisy. I use Memento Ink and colored it with Copics. I use the older Stamp of the Month for my name. I finished it off with some of the new sequins.

Check out this adorable goody box, not sure what to fill them with but everything was cut out on the Artist. The image is from the new stamp set......and you can see how i finished it off. Oh and i layered a super cute button cut out with double foam tape. I LOVE this cartridge!

Here is the finishing card to thank my guest for coming to our annual Thanksgiving feast!! I use the masking technique with sponge daubers..after i use memento ink and colors with Copics. I'm super uber excited for autumn this year.

That is my take on Pathfinding challenge, you can find more on my blog here and there. Don't forget you can join my classes next month that features this paper pack. Please check out the DIY classes for more info

Behind the lens of my studio.

Yeah this is my studio and yep it is in black and white. I really need to organize and paint it. lol Any one want to come? helpless, really i am.

Here is what i call my studio but it holds sooo much more. My uh, legos. My business stuff, from Jamberry to Close to my Heart.
Over on the right you can see my sewing machine (I'm scared to use it).
Some of my other crafts like canvas, Project life. Projects waiting to be made.

I have an apple basket that holds some card project being made and card kits that are finished. I have 3 ottlights for my work space but also doubles as lighting to take picture of my projects.

Here is a closer look of that space

The card looks so small but it is large enough for a 2 page layout, with some extra room. Sorry i had to add a bee, when i took the picture i did not realize that it was the project im teaching for thrive, no sneaky peek for that.

So i as you can see i need your help!! Please comment, send me a message, with your suggestions! The next picture will be in color! Hopefully maybe?

The Unboxing Pathfinding WOTG

I did a picture series on unboxing the workshop on the go Pathfinding kit from Close to my Heart, I'm teaching this workshop in September but i just had to give you a look now.
This is really fun workshop and now you and i have 3 - 2 page layouts ready for us to just stick in the pictures and a bit of journaling.

Take a look at the unboxing! well it is not really a box so maybe unwrapping?

This is how it comes, nice and well put together. I love the smell when you first open it...CTMH peeps will totally understand that. It is the 30th Year for CTMH!!

They are laid out from the paper pack in the back (so pretty). It comes with a full paper pack as well as some extra cardstock! The embellishments are pretty sweet too. The stamp set is pretty big too and i can use it on different project too. Even sweeter!

WOW!! The bling gems are really sparkly, there are 2 sheets like the one you see. Like really sparkly. Then you have a mix of cork and wood embellishments to go with it. I'm an owl girl! they all have self adhesive on the back so it is easy peasy and they stick quite well, even layering them. I LOVE ctmh embellishments, they coordinate, and work everywhere. I shall hoard them all!

With the 2 layouts you get with instructions (full colored, high quality) you will receive another layout directions you can use or not use. I love how it turned out.

This is the first layout, with the cricut cut out (i will have that ready for you) or choose the other layout with out it. There are a couple of techniques that i added like the rock n roll stamping, to add a bit of a dimension. I used
This is my layout for you to see with out pictures, I'm so happy with it!

The next one is the 2nd optional layout.

Look at the crisp colors, it makes me remember the crisp fall mornings with the warm afternoons. I love this layout! did i say i love this layout..uh huh!

This is the Bonus layout you will get instructions on when you buy the WOTG from moi.

It turned out really well and it completed my fall layouts in my scrapbook.

Did you know you could easily turn this in to a mini album if your not in to full size? Just ask! all you need is a mini album cover. We have very nice Kraft's ones.

SO the sneak peek turned in to a full showcase,.....Could not stop showing you pictures, I'm stinking excited to show you how!! Prepaid is due by Sept 15th Class is at the end of the month on September 30th 2014. Let me know if you want the paper to be pre-cut for you or not.

One more thing, you can take this kit to go!! I will have the added items cut and ready for you to pick up and take home. You can make in your free time.

thanks again for reading and letting me share this workshop with you.

Tip Tuesday! Picture my Life

Hi ya all! Im sure you have heard of Project life, right? I got to be a little crazy with it and now i have a few cores and a couple packs that i just don't know what to do with.

I did use the honey for PL 365, take a picture day and journal about it a bit and i find unless your doing 365 or a whole ablum the same then these can be good.

BUT if your designing layouts and want coordinating card, well Picture my life is wonderfully perfect!
They are many sets, they do not have hundreds of cards you will never use and they can be mixed for a wonderful album in no time, even the extras can be use for so many things, can ya tell im in love? Oh whats better? Well you can mix traditional scrapbooking with it too! Say what?!?

Flip Flaps are a perfect addition to your album, keep it simple and it will stay fun!

A little late-opps

Hey ya all!! Did ya hear the new Idea Book is out. this year it is call Annual inspirations and it is fantastic! I want, need, must have it all.

Isn't that cover divine? This thankfully goes until July 2015. Plenty of time to get your project planned and shopped for. Click here for the info.
My favorite paper pack is .....Pathfinding this year and because i love love love me some Autumn or fall, crunchy leaf time, Misty mornings..whatever you choose to call it. It is fun and i have plans for it. What is your favorite time of year?

I really do love fall though, the colors are rich, the outfits are comfy and very fashionable. I love walking in the crunchy leaves and my house work actually gets done.

This year i will be homeschooling my son in Preschool and he will be joining a sport, we are thinking gymnastics. Any suggestions?

We try to live a balanced life while having fun. Whats the point of life right?

So where does the new idea book fall in to that? It is one way of recording my family's adventures, the others well i love home decor!

My question for you is...What are you fall plans?
Would you like to come over and make some fall layouts? Have them ready so all you have to do is print out picture, glue them down and add a little journal to the page.

Are these not the best photo's? I love them so much! Thanks CTMH!

HWBH August Edition

Welcome to the Hearts of the West team blog hop! August Edition. If this is your first time joining us you will love it. It features Close to my hearts Consultants from all over Canada It is founded by Nancy Klein.

This months challenge is a color challenge brought to you by Design seeds and hand picked from Nancy Klein.

A fun few facts about August:  It is National Picnic Month, Also this month's birth flowers are the beautiful gladiolus and the poppy!

If you came from Nancy Klein's Blog then your in the right place, this is a go around blog so you can start anywhere! Just in case the full list will be at the bottom. SO as always grab your coffee, tea, water, relax and hop around the team with us.

This is my layout for this month, This was his first Popsicle at the zoo and of course they are massive, i took out my camera and he just started to make the funnest poses. I had some fun with this layout, and the funny thing is the color design coordinated perfectly with the colors of his Kadoozie Popsicle!

i use the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge with this layout as well as some retired paper scrap (use what ya got, then you can buy more :-) The stitch guide helped me make some fun stitched circles, i dyed the white thread with our reinkers and stamp pads.

Liquid glass is our friend and i used it to adhere the strips of paper to the glittler paper that runs across the whole layout, i quickly found out my ATG does not hold it there. Then i added a few spots of liquid glass dots for embellishments as well as some Aqua dots. With some washi tape and chip board this was done. I pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Just a close up of the title, using retired items (use what ya got!)\

A mix of some fun embellishing, i used a big pin head to make these cute white dots with a white pigment stamp pad, i love CTMH!!
