Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge 23

Welcome to another fun AHSC, this is number 23! This card i finally got to crack in to my Sarita WOTG and took out just a few sheets to make this card, I am in LOVE with this paper. The colors are a perfect blend and work so well with autumn colors, I also used the National stamping month's special stamp set that we had last month, it was a wonderful trio. I saw this quote and thought it to be super fun and perfect for this card.
Thanks for reading this super short post, im working on so many things at the moment and i hope i can share with you sooner then later! I would love to see your creations and your comments!

AHSC #21

I did..yep I can't believe it but I did it.....I actually used a different brand of Stamp and I am blogging about it. I bought the Martha Stewart butterfly stamp set, I loved the set and it was the perfect butterflies set.

That was a few years ago and ever since I started to use Close to my Heart brand stamps I gave away all my non-ctmh everything in scrapbooking "stuff" to a mom who wanted to scrapbook for her daughter but could not really afford it, This was a year and a bit ago..I kept one stamp set and that was this butterfly set. The clear stamps are very stiff, it was a bugger to get off of the carrier sheet and well, it stamps well enough, it is not as comfortable as the ctmh, which I think is more cushion, shape-able and most important pick up ink for a super even coverage, This stamp was kinda hard to ink.
Even though that I do still like it and I hope that you like what I did with this weeks Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #21 You can find the sketch here. I still love my ctmh stamps the best, If you don't have an Idea Book let me know!

Only the butterfly is MS the rest are my trusty ctmh background stamp and July's stamp of the month, used for the sentiment. Colors used is ctmh (of course) Honey, Sunset, Autumn terracotta and black. The butterfly was colored by copic.

Thanks for reading and have a good week!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada then please start at the beginning and join Michelle at My Creations with Michelle. If you came from Nancy Klein then you are in the right place!

I'm in the little homemade everything cutesy mood lately, you should see my new apron my mom sewed me, it is just perfect and lots of owls..of course. This is a handy little 3x3" post it note matchbook. After I researched a few different types and came up with my own measurements..I just googled it. I used Copic markers some of mine and the others I borrowed from one of my downlines. As you can see I added some sparkles and ribbon to cover up the staples. I will soon have these sets and more on my Etsy store. The actual match book was cut from kraft card stock cut 2x and then I glued them (good ol Bonding Memories) together to make the book fairly strong, I scored after it was dry (like 10 mins after i glued it). The rest is pretty easy to figure out. I used a few different stamp sets to make some but this Jeanette Archived Stamp sets are the best and my this the first one and so far my favorite. Im off to buy more of them...since they are only available for a short while (maybe only for this idea book).

This is the inside of this pretty cool matchbook, I choose to coordinated the color of the post it note to match the vibrant yellow background.

If you would like to have the measurements please feel free to contact me!
I'm at the end but feel free to click on Michelle's in case you did not start at the start.
If you get lost along the way, you can head to Michelle S Blog, My creations with Michelle as she has the complete blog list.

All these picture were from my new Cannon Rebel T3i and a light box, they turned out great and i am still learning how to not use the auto.

Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to get creative using some of the designs, products and techniques seen along the way. Join us again in November when we will be featuring the Holiday Gift Guide.  We hope you will join us again on November 15th.

AHSC #19

Here is this weeks AHSC #19, I have the NEW Artbooking cricut cartridge from CTMH (close to my heart) and with that collection it features 3 huge stamp sets that coordinate with the cartridge. I did not use the cartridge but i did use one of the sets to make this card. I felt super girly the sketch so i went with a beautiful rich pink called hollyhock. It needed some glitter and sparkle (of course, right?). First up is the sketch of the week

Isn't is super cute? here is my card on this sketch!

AHSC # 17

Hi Everyone!
This weeks Atlantic Heart Sketch challenge i made with a few of my favorite colors and all the littles ones are returning to School, i made this fun little card. I used a 2nd generation inking on the lace stamp (from the Artbooking Cricut Collection) and i used a Honeycomb set from the last idea book (you can still buy it :-)

Here is the sketch i worked from:

You're a Delight! Apple.

Here is another look of the lace i stamped. For an uneven 2nd generation stamped image i flipped my versamat with the foam side up and then i placed my scrap paper on there and when i stamped down i kinda did a rock n roll with the block and pressed down harder on some spots, right after i stamped my image on to the card before it dried (if it does and it is dye-based ink...just huff on it a bit). Added a some embellishments and WASHI tape.

Thanks for reading and Please feel free to comment, i love to read them!

Here is a card i made last week. It was made with a new stamp set and the retired paper pack called Avonlea. Shabby chic is one of my favorite styles and i love to mix hard and soft textures like paper and glitter or lace with metal. I am not sure if you have ever used an edge distresser must. I used to use scissor before, now i really love using for most of my shabby chic projects.

Isn't fun to discover new tools? It isn't a Hoot! Until next time my friends.

Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge #15

It is that wonderful time of the week where i can show you the newest sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (AHSC)
This Week the Designer Michelle posted a fun sketch and i really wanted to copy it just right. I decided to use Cricket Craft Room with the Art Philosophy Cricket Cartridge. I was able to manipulate the images to match this weeks sketch, it was fun and all i had to do was load the cricket and hit cut, it turned out great, my tip would be to make a few of the same cuts just in case you might need to redo a piece or 2 like i did, i took my favorite 2013 summer colors in cardstock scraps, I used an awesome retired stamp set featuring Dinosaurs. I love taking "boy" stamps and making them work for girly stuff.

Here is the Sketch 15

Here my Dino Card
I have a little tip for the excess glue, if you want to check out my product review post last week ---Link---

Rub and Remove Eraser

Have you ever had some excess glue from sticking down piece of paper and you have some glue that runs out or your tape runner leaves a little bit of glue at the edge? Save your fingers from rub burn!!

Here you can see in the first picture that there is a little glue from my ATG gun that went over the edge a little bit

I took this little handy Rub & Remove Eraser or just glue

ok so this picture makes it look way larger then it actually is about 2"x 2". the one you see in the picture will be a year old next month, it is still is perfect working condition. I keep this wonderful little life saver beside my versamat, beside my bone folder.

I used the edge or the corner of the eraser to rub gently in a circle motion and the glue peels off leaving your art perfect.

A word of advice do not use this on glue that is super fresh, it will rub off the paper too, if you can't tell i have does this a few times.

If you would like to have one your self, contact your CTMH Consultant or if your in Canada please check out my shopping site to get your own. Shipping times have been reduced to under a week now..Isn't that great news!

Rub & Remove Eraser <---------

Until next time folks!

Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge #14

Welcome to my weekly AHSC post, This week i wanted to share another way of using out Stamp of the month, It is a wonderful stamp set and have many uses. I love the nautical theme and my house is slowly turning in to that. I use that color scheme for this card and kept the stamps in a basic black.

Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge #13

Here is this weeks sketch, brought to you by Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.
Last weekend was so much fun on Saturday i was out in Langdon for Langdon Days as a vendor in the vendor I met some wonderful people and one of my downlines and her family came down to chat and check out some of the new products from the new Autumn/Winter 2013 Idea book. I was able to offer tips and each person got to leave with my new Etsy store address on a cloths pin, thanks Pintrest for that idea! On Sunday my family and i went to have lunch and watch the planes land and take off, my son was very excited and i did not have my camera with me, that would be a first! How was your weekend?
This weeks sketch i based it on the July's SOTM (stamp of the month). Take a look at the sketch used.

And here would be mine!

I used a retired paper pack called Avonlea and used burlap with some embellishments, i used an old pair of edger to make the top edge decorative. for the cherries i colored them an old set of water color pencils, that remindes me i have to order a new set from close to my heart. So take a look and thank you for reading.

Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge #12

Lately i have been obsessing over bright colored fruit, i recently picked up this retired ctmh stamp set from a fellow ctmh gal. My favorite kind of apple is the sweet Red Delicious apple, i wanted to copy that and i used the ctmh stamp pad in Ruby for the little leaf and keeping with bright colors i chose Pear for that. The awesome paper came from the Surfs up paper pack, they are 100% coordinating---LOVE that!
I added a bit of green sparkles and some waxy flax in black and attached a cute snail with liquid glass.

Here is the sketch, from AHSC #12
Here is my card.

Thanks for reading and if you need some ideas, please follow with me and if you have created your own, please let me know..i LOVE seeing art work!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge-Sketch 6

Hi guys! I had a hard time with this sketch, there were sooo many ways it could have gone. Since im gardening hardcore with container this year and i got a very cool stamp set with bugs i thought why not keep it simple and just stamp it. So for once i did that..( i didn't even ink edges, wow!)
Here is this weeks sketch..Please visit AHSC to join your artwork
And this as always is my take on this weeks sketch

Ha isn't it cute! i kept it mostly modern with colors and the chevron pattern is pretty hot right now. the stamp set for that chevron is large so you can even do a huge piece that will take no time if you wanted to cover the whole page, oh and the stamp image is a little distressed..hehe my fav!
Lets move on to the recipe.
D1540 In the Background
D1535 Bugs & Hugs
Z2172 Whisper stamp pad
44571 Archival Black stamp pad
Z2155 Topiary stamp pad
Z1336 Opaques Pearl adhesive gems
Z1754 Sparkles Black & Grey assortment

Well there it is, i hope you enjoy this card and you will make you own and join us for the weekly sketches. Please feel free to leave me a comment..i LOVE reading them!
